12740 Robo Next-Gen

Michigan, USA

Shaping “Next-Gen” innovators, one challenge at a time!

We are a team of middle school students from Larson Middle School in Troy, Michigan, USA united by curiosity, creativity, and a shared love of engineering. Supported by dedicated mentors and an engaged school community, we’ve grown from a small group of beginners into a team that embraces challenge, celebrates learning, and pushes the boundaries of what young minds can achieve.

We don’t just build robots. We build confidence, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills that carry far beyond the competition field. Each season, we focus on strengthening our technical abilities while cultivating leadership, communication, and resilience. Older members mentor newer ones, ensuring that every student finds their place, discovers their strengths, and contributes meaningfully to our progress.

Beyond our robot, we work to spark interest in STEM throughout our school and community. We’re committed not only to improving ourselves, but also to encouraging STEM curiosity throughout our school and community. Through outreach events, demonstrations, and peer workshops, we aim to make engineering inviting and accessible to all students—especially those who are just beginning to explore the world of robotics.

Our engineering reflects our growth: disciplined testing, thoughtful iteration, and a commitment to improving a little more each match. These values have carried us to the European Premier Event in the Netherlands, where we’re honored to represent Larson Middle School, the city of Troy, and the Michigan FTC community on this international stage.

We may be young, but we take pride in our dedication, communication, and heart, and we continue striving to grow season after season. We are proud young engineers, driven learners, and a team that grows stronger together—shaping the “Next-Gen”, one challenge at a time!
