We are Talos EduRobots, a FIRST Tech Challenge team based in Ierapetra, Crete, Greece. Founded in 2023, our team consists of 12 students aged 14 to 17, each bringing unique talents in engineering, programming, design, and communication. We work together with one goal: to learn, grow, and compete at the highest level in robotics.
Fun fact about us🩶
Our name, Talos, comes from ancient Greek mythology—Talos was a giant bronze automaton who protected the island of Crete. It is said that he was the first robot ever made! Inspired by his strength and purpose, we aim to build robots that are not only powerful and effective but also creative and precise.
What makes us special is our strong teamwork, determination, and ability to adapt. We’re not just a team—we’re a family. Everyone brings something different to the table, and we support each other through every challenge, both in competition and beyond.
Our prime
In our first year, we were proud to be finalists at the Greek National Championship and earned second place in the Connect Award.
This year we have achieved to be the winning alliance in our country, holders of the event high score and the design award.
Our goal
We believe in sharing knowledge, inspiring others, and building a strong robotics culture in our community. For us, robotics is more than just building a machine—it’s about innovation, passion, and making a difference together. We hope to inspire the next generation through our efforts and spread the message of FIRST worldwide 🌍
