20267 Gravity

Canada

Team Gravity (FTC #20267) is a fifth‑year FIRST®Tech Challenge team from Mont‑Tremblant, Québec, Canada that brings together students from both French and English‑language schools. These young members share a passion for robotics and problem‑solving, meeting weekly to build, program, and refine competitive robots while developing creativity, technical skills, and team spirit. The name “Gravity” reflects the universal force that both challenges and unites us. It symbolizes the determination, imagination, and collaboration required to “defy” it through engineering. It is also a reminder that gravity itself is powerless without objects to influence, underlining the importance of the FTC community and coopertition in our journey.

We strive to design and build unique, innovative, and reliable robots that inspire curiosity, foster learning, and make the engineering process engaging and meaningful for every member. From the start, our robots have been developed to be as compatible as possible with others, because when you play with Gravity, you get to play your best game.

Over the past four seasons, Team Gravity has consistently grown in expertise, complexity, and impact. The team has participated in multiple provincial competitions, friendly scrimmages, and community STEM events, steadily improving robot performance and strengthening their engineering approach each year. Beyond competition results, Team Gravity is especially proud of its contributions to the community: hosting successful STEM outreach events, inspiring new students across the Laurentians, and representing their region with dedication and creativity each season.

The team is extremely excited to be invited to the FIRST® Tech Challenge European Premier Event in Eindhoven and looks forward to seeing the different ideas and approaches others have developed to take on the Decode challenge.
